My name is Christy and I'm a personal chef based in Austin, TX. I was professionally trained at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, and have worked in private catering for the past couple of years. My passion for cooking began at a very young age, cooking side by side with my grandmother. From there I continued to experiment and develop my personal cooking skills. Although I obtained a degree in business and worked in the high tech industry for many years, I always wanted to follow my heart and turn my passion into my career. That is how Cuisine by Christy came into being.
I have always tried to find healthy approaches to fine dining, often taking classic recipes and modifying them slightly into healthier options. I'm a strong believer that healthy and delicious can go together. But every now and then you just want the original, and I understand that too.
Today my biggest joy is passing along my passion to my children, including my 4-year old sous chef who now cooks side by side with me at home. Look out Bobby Flay, he's going to be the one to beat someday!
